    We Don't Sell Software

    We Don't Sell Software.
We Help You Decide About It.

FORCARA is a membership alliance, not a software company. We don't own a shop management system, we don't resell one, and we're not built on top of one. Our members run many different systems, and that's deliberate.

The right system for a two-bay shop with one service writer isn't the right system for a four-location operation, and nobody should be pushed onto a particular one because their association has a deal with the vendor.

What we do is help you answer two questions honestly: is what you're running still serving you, and if it isn't, what does it actually cost to move.

If Your Current System Is Working, Keep It

Plenty of our members run older, server-based systems — some have run the same one for fifteen or twenty years. If your install is stable, your people know it cold, and it produces the numbers you need to run the business, that isn't a problem to solve.

Stability has real value. Migration has real cost: money, downtime, and the six weeks your service writers spend being slower than they were.

We're not going to tell you to replace something that works. Anyone who does is selling you something.

    When Stability Is an Asset

    • Your install is stable
    • Your people know it cold
    • It produces the numbers you need

    When Stability Is a Ceiling

    • No digital inspections
    • No text approvals or photo documentation
    • No online scheduling
    • Reporting that doesn't show where the money goes

    When It's Time to Move

The harder conversation is when the system is stable but the market has moved past what it can do. Customers expect digital inspections, text approvals, photo documentation and online scheduling. Technicians expect tools that don't fight them. And you need reporting that shows where the money is going while there's still time to do something about it.

If your system can't do those things, stability isn't an asset anymore. It's a ceiling.

    What We Currently Recommend

For members ready to move, our current recommendation is AutoLeap. It's the fastest path from an older system to a modern one, the implementation is handled properly rather than dropped on you, the support is real, and it covers the range of what a shop needs rather than solving one problem and leaving four.

Disclosure: FORCARA does not receive referral fees or residuals from AutoLeap. This is a recommendation based on what we believe serves our members, not a paid placement.

That's a recommendation, not a requirement. If you want to evaluate alternatives we'll help you build the comparison and give you an honest read on each. Members who choose something else are still members, with everything that comes with it.

How to Use Us on This

Before you sign anything, talk to us. Bring what you're running, what it costs, and what's actually frustrating you about it.

We'll tell you whether the problem is the software or something else — because often it's something else, and replacing the system won't fix it.

If moving is right, we'll help you scope the migration, understand the true cost including the productive weeks you'll lose, and get it done without the surprises.
